TheDrinksPlace.co.uk was conceived in early 2005 and, like all the greatest advances of the human race, it was born of necessity. With a friend's birthday looming, computer consultant Ashley Hollands was frustrated by a lack of mail order gifts under £30 that he felt his friend might actually like!

Enter Tom Young, ex-owner of a CAMRA accredited pub and distribution manager of several years' experience.
